Hello.

I’m James Harvey, a filmmaker based in the South West creating video across weddings, commercial projects, social media and music. I’ve worked in video production for over a decade and bring a calm, discreet approach to filming that helps people feel comfortable in front of the camera while keeping things natural and authentic on screen. Alongside client work, I run the Harv AV YouTube channel, where I review and explore filmmaking equipment, reflecting the technical side of my background and my long-standing interest in video and audio production. Most of my work takes place across the South and South West, though I’m always happy to travel for the right project.
